hello my name is Kavan, i am a guitarist who loves to play metal and rock. My main Guitars are Parker. Nothing else comes close. I have started to improvise my own stuff. The first song on this page "crusader (1st recording) is my cover of a saxon song, i have only recorded the rhythm guitar parts, i am learning the basslines and the drum lines soon and the lead guitar. i'll add them to the recording and remove the midi parts eventually.
my biggest inspirations are Mattias 'IA' Eklundh, Joe satriani, John petrucci, Mike Portnoy, Jason medonca, david gray (drummer) SRV and many more
i am also a full time chef de partie at a resturaunt/pub called the eltisley

Recording ambient sounds, huh? At this rate you're going to be doing stuff that sounds like movie scores. This should be interesting!
Anyhow, I like the way it starts out. It almost reminds me a bit of Tangering Dream at the beginning.
I like all the new tracks you've posted! You're a much more competent fingerpicker than I am, so that's a big kudos on the acoustic tracks. And I really like the spaced out "Interesting Pt One". It sounds great through my crappy little laptop speakers - I'm gonna give it another listen with headphones!
Cheers mate!
Thanks for the invite through my MySpace. I knew Paul had set this up, but I haven't really thought of myself as an "Improvising Guitarist" for many years. But after visiting (and getting the flashback that I actually DO have a bunch of improvisational pieces, even if they go back a ways) I decided to throw my hat in the ring.
Of course just about every tune that I hear that others put up here makes me want to take all my stuff down...
BTW, I like your Fly background, that's really cool. :-)
